I just love the look of the Infiniti M cars, ever since I saw an M30 convertible years and years ago, and this body style of the M45 is just awesome.
Hard to believe that this started production in 2002, when my Infiniti is a 2000, and the M45 just looks far more contemporary. Not that I hate the look of my I30, or the 1997 J30 that I used to have, but the M45 is in a different league altogether, and I'd love to get my hands on one.
They've just got an immensely classy, stylish appearance to them. I would so drive one.

Agreed, I think it has to do with the simple JDM style it has compared to the swoopy current "M"/Q70/Fuga/Cima/Dignity whatever it is.
It's almost like how the first and second gen Lexus LS still look modern even today.

I had one for a weekend . It felt like a very refined Crown Vic cop car. Japanese Jag. Lots of power, not enough gears.

I've heard Infinitis being called Japanese Jaguars before, and it sounds about right. The feature set and overall functionality of my 2000 I30 is very similar to my mom's 99 XJ8 VP. Though, her's doesn't run. And mine has no electrical gremlins. But still, overall, that's an apt comparison.
My I30 has a four-speed auto, and having very little experience with automatics beyond four-speeds, I can't speak for what you'd say, but logic and common sense says you're right. And I don't mind the ride of a Crown Vic at all, so that's good to know.

Yeah, that seems about right. I mean, I like curves and swoops on some cars, but the newer ones are much too busy. Attractive, still, but they don't carry the same level of class. I think it's the same reason a Rolls-Royce doesn't have those design elements. It's simple, yet elegant.

I saw a black one a little earlier today. It's what inspired me to make the post.
Looked just like this one, except the wheels were better.

Not bad... but the grille and headlights aren't right. Even if the front end were hard and horizontal across the top and bottom, it would have looked better, like a Dodge Challenger.
Nissan has done that before... with the Kenmeri Skyline, which had a distinct Mopar-copy look to it... and a very good take on it.
That Infiniti M (Nissan Gloria) is like Nissan tried to design a Lincoln Continental, but didn't quite get the front end right.
And black or some other dramatic color would do much better than silver. The car isn't dramatic enough on it's own to look special in silver.
AMGtech - now with more recalls!

I love these. It is on a very short list of "normal" cars I would own. In fact, might even throw one in the garage when I get rich, then tune the crap out of it. They're seriously underappreciated.
